Michel Rasmussen

Profile:

Michel is Danish and grew up outside Copenhagen. She started her studies with a BSc in Biochemistry from Copenhagen University. She continued with her Master Thesis in the private Biotech Company Nordic Bioscience, where she studied the development of blood-based biomarkers for Alzheimer Disease and Traumatic Brain Injury. She received her MSc degree in Biochemistry from the University of Copenhagen in 2017.

She continued with a 6-month internship at Copenhagen University at the Department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, where she studied Parkinson Disease.

Since June 2018, Michel is performing her Early Stage Researcher project / Ph.D. thesis within the transMed consortium in Prof. Per Ekström’s lab at Lund University, where she studies cGMP interaction partners in normal and degenerating photoreceptors in retinal degeneration.
